And Company...

Greetings,
My blog's main purpose to share tips that teachers can use to help make life as a teacher as easy as possible. Well, in February--- teaching was no longer my "main squeeze"--- my husband got me a dog for my birthday. 🐶🐾🐶. My first doggie! I was super excited. So here's a little story about th"company" in teaching and company!

---December 26, 2012 was the day that Anna Banana was surrendered to the pound. It saddens me to imagine how scared she was--- every time I think about her past I cry. We are truly blessed to have this sweet girl in our lives. We are honored that God chose us to love & provide the best for her. Words can not express how much this dog recused us! We ❤️our sweet Anna Banana🐾🐶🐾!

So, I will include tips on loving a dog from time to time.

Till next time...

Graded papers tip

Here's my system for sending home graded papers. I got this filing tote from Office Depot--- I love the fact that it comes with a lid- since last year the crate I had flipped over in my trunk.

Once the assignment is graded and recorded--- the fun continues. I file the assignments as I go to keep down my stress level. After this process is completed I attach a cover letter.

The most important part of this system is the very last step--- once the (signed) cover letter + graded papers return to school= the kiddo receiving a marshmallow!

Just trying to keep it easy breezy!

Sub plans!!!

Yikes! It's so much easier to just go to school versus planning for a sub! "Can I get an Amen!" Tomorrow will be my first personal day in 3 years. My family needs me, so I will be missing from the schoolhouse. Over the years, I have learned that a fill-in template (you will notice there are lines present--- I just hand write some of the assignments) is the way to go. So, I would love to share my template with you. It's a Word document so tailoring it to your classroom will be easy! Click on the picture below to preview. If you would like me to e-mail the word document to you... just leave your e-mail as a comment or email me at: teachingandcompany@gmail.com P.S. if you know how to upload a word document to a blog, please let me know, LOL!
~Keep calm and take care!

Yahoo! We made it Labor Day! This holiday has always been my finish line from the back 2 school madness. For 13 years, I have ignored everything nom school related from August 1st- Labor Day. Everyone around me knows that i will be back to normal by Labor Day!

Don't get me wrong, I really wanted to cook, clean, and post on my blog-- but I would fall asleep as soon as I would sit down long enough to close my eyes. I have been super busy turning into a traveling Spanish teacher.

So,I knew I would be able to walk my sweet dog Anna & make a post on my blog this weekend.

Back2School!

Today, I am preparing for back to school in a different way---- at a pep rally! My school flew us from Louisiana to Florida to attend our charter school company's back to school kick off. We heard Dr. Steve Perry speak & we are cheering for what we do- teach! Good times!

My British Invasion

Nice! I woke up this morning to the great news that the royal baby is on its way! It is so hilarious that I have been eagerly awaiting for this announcement. I have always followed the royal family, so this is like having my cousin in labor or labour (phahaha)

My second British moment of the summer was attending the Cambridge International Training at my school. I teach at a charter school and this will be our second year having the Cambridge program on our campus. The focus of this accelerated program is science, mathematics and writing. I learned some great strategies from across the pond. If you would like to learn more about the program, please click on the picture below.
Now on to my third British moment, walking my sweet doggie Anna and listening to Bennie & the Jets!

Cheerio!

Tape less

Howdy!
Just saw a question on Instagram about a bulletin board Pinterest find- that I had posted a couple days ago. So sad but true-- some schools don't allow tape- that must make creating a print rich environment super super duper duper hard--- well of course~ Pinterest is a super hero. I would have never thought of using a science project board as a bulletin board!

I found a solution--- now I shall take a bow!

Sweet! My first blog!

Greetings,
I heart blogs! I love to find, search, and "pin" them. So, my great pal, Misty (Krazy for Teaching) encouraged me to create my own. So, here's Teaching and Company! I'm a newbie, so please show some love and a sprinkle of patience.
